If you are unsure whether you want to continue your pregnancy, you can come to us for a free consultation.
To undergo an abortion, the law requires that a counseling session take place (Section 219 of the German Criminal Code). Following the counseling session, a certificate will be issued for you to take with you. The gynecological practice performing the abortion requires this counseling certificate.
Every pregnant woman or person who has had the consultation is entitled to the counseling certificate, regardless of what was discussed. The consultation can also be conducted anonymously.
The following topics can be discussed during the consultation:
Coverage of the costs of the abortion
Counseling on birth control methods and free contraception
Information on social and financial assistance during pregnancy and for families
Psychosocial support in decision-making
Discussions about ambivalent feelings
